A GOOD DAY – CUTE EASTER BOX : EASY PROJECT

FEBRUARY HOSTCODE: GW6BPDS2

Sunday, 18 February 2018

I have used A Good Day Stamp Set and Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder – All Stampin’ Up! Products.

This is another great little project that I have classified as ‘easy’ so suitable for anyone including beginners. It is not essential to emboss your cardstock. Practice stamping around the sides before putting the box together instead.

This Stamp Set is from the Spring/Summer catalogue, I love it, and it also co-ordinates with the two new scalloped punches. I can’t resist a lovely punch, quick and easy projects all the better for me. Add a touch of texture and emboss the cardstock with your favourite embossing folder for added dimension.

6 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ Cardstock

  • Score on the short side: 1 1/2″ then 3″ and 3 3/4″
  • Score on the long side: 1 1/2″ then 3″ then 4 1/2″ and 6″
  • Score on the long side up to the first score line: 2 1/4″ and 5 1/4″

This weeks project focusses on the FREE Sale-A-Bration Items the “Amazing You” stamp set and the “Celebrate You Thinlits Dies” – All Stampin’ Up! Products.

Firstly, I’m going to start with the size of the gift bag which is  4 1/2″ wide 3 3/4″ high and 1 1/4″ deep. I’ve forgotten to do this a few times so thought I’d get it in straight away! Just place an order for £45 (before shipping and handling) and receive even bigger rewards when you spend £90 (before shipping and handling), just look for the coloured reward icons throughout the brochure.

As an additional give-a-way anyone that places an order from my on-line shop before the 31 March 2018 will get three of the “celebrate” die cuts. I appreciate that anyone new to crafting may not own a Big Shot so I am happy to cut these for you and pop them in the post with a handmade card if you purchase from me. This makes this particular project incredibly accessible.

A MOTHER’S FLAIR HAND-CREAM BOX AND MATCHING CARD PROJECT

FEBRUARY HOSTCODE: GW6BPDS2

Sunday, 04 February 2018

This weeks project is a Mother’s Day project. It’s a hand-cream box with matching card and envelope. Using A Mother’s Flair stamp set and Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper – All Stampin’ Up Products.

Pretty, pretty, pretty that’s how I would describe this weeks project and perfect for beginners too. I designed the box to fit a lovely fragrant decleor hand-cream, as well as smelling beautiful it leaves your hands soft and nourished too. Something I need a lot of as I’m outdoors a lot of the time with my lovely horse Monty!

Step it up and stamp using your versamark, ink and clear embossing powder to create a faux patent leather handbag look. Very classy.

  • Measurements for the box (overall box measures 6″ x 1 1/4″)
  • Whisper White cardstock cut to 7 1/2″ x 7 3/8″
  • Score on the long side: 2 1/4″ then 3 1/2″ then 5 3/4″ and 7″
  • Score on the short side: 1 1/4″ and 6″
  • Cut x 2 DSP 6″ x 2 1/8″ for the front and back

Gorgeous Handbag Style Gift Bag using the Petal Passion suite and the Daisy Punch – Stampin’ Up Products

I just love this style of gift bag and it’s just perfect to pop in a luxury body product or make-up for one of your girlfriends. This is something I have never seen in the usual high street stores so thought I’d make one!

I had such a disaster whilst filming this project it nearly didn’t get finished! But I didn’t give up and actually when I watched it back, apart from the awful glare of the glass top, (I will remove it for the next video I promise!) it didn’t turn out half bad. Even better though whilst typing my blog my lovely husband handed me a glass of wine, honestly, me and filming turns out to be a family affair. Anyway I hope you all think it was worth it. I love them, I hope you do too x

Getting Started With Stampin’ Up

After putting my latest video together it struck me that many of you may not even know where to start with card making with Stampin’ Up so I thought I’d put this blog together with some simple instructions.

Stampin’ Up is such a great way to create really professional cards and gift bags and if you follow my tutorials on youtube you’ll be able to make all sorts of seasonal cards. In fact, you’ll never have to buy one again!

So, anyway, back to my original reason for posting this. You can start shopping with Stampin’ Up by heading to THE SHOP where you’ll see all the items I use in my tutorials. If you shop during the current Sale you get a free product from the brochure (just ask me for one).

Or you can purchase this fantastic starter pack that’s amazing value. It’s £99 and you get a whole load of Stampin’ Up essentials that you can choose or use this pack as a great starting point. It even has the Daisy Delight Stampset and Punch which are my absolute favourites!! So, to get this offer just click here to Join The Fun!

During Sale-a-bration which is 3rd January 2018 to 31st March 2018 , if you buy the starter pack you get extra 2 stamp sets of your choice!! It’s the perfect pack to get you going.

I started this way then just added what I needed as I went along.

So, there’s nothing stopping you now. Follow THIS LINK and it’ll take you straight to my shop.

Contact me with any questions – I’m sure you are going to love being involved with Stampin’ Up!

Beautiful Note Cards hand stamped using the Petal Palette Stampset – Stampin’ Up Products

I do hope you like my card making for beginners tutorial.  I was so inspired by the lovely ladies at the WI where I gave a recent demonstration and introduction to stamping for the first time. We had fun just putting some simple cards together which made me realise that I also wanted to do some tutorials too.

The Petal Passion suite is just beautiful, it’s from our new Spring/Summer catalogue and I’m totally hooked. Stamping straight onto card or making your own DSP (designer series paper) is so easy.

Crafting Forever Sweetie Box – The Pootler’s Design Team Challenge Week 4

img_0899-3IMG_1371

I can’t believe it’s week 4 and sadly the last week of the challenge. In fact, I actually set myself three challenges. The first was to use this gorgeous Stampset. The second to use only the 2017 – 2019 in colours. And thirdly to make four very different projects for you. I hope you enjoyed them all.

I can’t wait to do the video for this super box. It measures 2″ x 2″x 4″ and I have it filled to the brim with chocolate coins. It has a unique and clever closure which I’ll show in my video. I’m typing this post on Christmas day and now need to fly. Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a crafty 2018. I will be back in the next few days with a video for you with all the measurements.

SNOWFLAKE CHRISTMAS CARDS

How pretty are these cards and as usual they’re quick and easy to make. These are the cards that my family and friends are receiving this year and I loved making them. Both card bases are 5″ x 5″ and you can use your scraps for the coloured cardstock back ground. You only need a 2 7/8″ square for these. I have used a variety of colours for mine, they work well in any colour and they all look beautiful.

Please note both the Foil Snowflakes and the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder are retiring and will no longer be available for purchase after 2 January 2018.
