PAINTED HARVEST NOTE CARD SET

Painted Harvest Note Card Set – Using Stampin’ Up Products.

This is a very quick and easy note cards using the lovely Painted Harvest Stamp Set and co-ordinating Leaf Punch. Currently sold as a bundle with a saving of 10% (Oct 2017).

I’m always sending notes and little thank you gifts so to have these ready and made is just perfect for me. You only need a couple of ink pads to create these stamped images. I think they look so lovely in the muted tones, just add some wink of stella (clear glitter pen – I love it) for that extra bit of sparkle.

And don’t forget the Note Cards and Envelopes have 15% discount until 10 October 2017.

When I filmed my tutorial on Sunday it was a little late in the day as I had just got back from a weekend away and after watching it back I really felt it wasn’t good enough! There are all sorts of interuptions, you can hear both my son and Saffie in the background, I forgot to add my Wink of Stella! I even managed to hit the thumbs down button on my own video when I loaded it!! But then I thought this is me when I’m crafting and stuff just happens so I decided not to do it again and let you watch me just being me 🙂

MERRY LITTLE LABELS GIFT BAGS

Merry Little Labels gift bags. How gorgeous do these look and so quick and easy to make and only need a sheet of 6 x 6″ designer series paper, even better. Great for Christmas and Advent treats I couldn’t decide which to show you so thought I’d do both.

I have a few other projects in mind using this stamp set and can’t wait to demonstrate.  This will certainly be my go to for all of my Christmas tags this year. I don’t have a huge amount of spare time to craft so everything has to be easy and quick to make which means this is the perfect set for me.

  • 6 x 6″ Designer Series Paper
  • Score 3/4″ (this is the bottom of your bag)
  • Turn
  • Score 3/8″ just to your first score line and then 3/4″ and 2 2/8″ and 3 1/4″ just to your first score line and then 3 5/8″ and finally 5 3/4″
  • Do view my video to see how I made up the bag

This is a quick picture of my advent bags I have started making in exactly the same way and have just cut out some numbers for the front instead of a labe

SEASONAL LAYERS TREAT BOX FOR FRIENDS

A quick and easy project for you today. This lovely sturdy little treat box, the perfect size to give to friends at a dinner party. Mine holds a little chocolate treat or if you wanted something a bit more a MAC lipstick fits inside too.

I’m often inspired by the weather when it comes to crafting and today is no exception. It’s windy, cold and raining one minute then sunshine the next, a sure sign that Autumn is on its way. With that in mind I was looking for pretty Autumnal colours and I think I’ve got the balance just right.  I’ve mainly used old olive for my box and paired it with the new Champagne Foil sheets from the 2017 Autumn/Winter Catalogue to make the delicate leaf. Its the star of the show and so pretty my photography skills really don’t do it justice.

These are the basics you will need to put it together:-

  • Old Olive Cardstock:-
  • One piece that measures 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ scored on the long side at:-
  • 1/2″ – 2″ – 3″ – 5″ and 7″
  • Another piece that measures 4 1/4″ x 1 7/8″ scored at 1/2″ on all four sides
  • A circle using the 1 3/4″ punch
  • A solid leaf cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies
  • DSP – Coffee Break:-
  • One piece that measures 3″ x 2 1/2″
  • A circle using the 2″ punch
  • A circle using the 1 1/2″ punch
  • Misc:-
  • Length of linen thread
  • Scrap of whisper white for the sentiment inside
  • Scrap of champagne foil for the delicate leaf cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies

  • Burnish all score lines
  • Add tear tape as shown above. When folded over and stuck down gives a really sturdy feel.
  • Just a bit of cutting then add tear tape to each flap to make up the box that will fit inside. Use liquid glue just on the bottom and adhere to the inside as shown below.
  • To finish, layer up your circles using dimensionals
  • Add a touch of glue to your delicate leaf and add it to the solid leaf
  • Tie a bow around the stem using a length of linen thread then adhere leaf to your circles with another dimensional
  • Finally use your remaining piece of DSP to simply wrap around your chocolate using a bit of tear tape to secure
  • Wrap another length of linen thread around a few times and tie with a knot, stamp and punch out your chosen sentiment and slide under the thread and pop in your box
  • I used a 1cm Velcro dot to secure my flap, but you could use magnets or even wrap another piece of linen thread around the middle and tie a bow, note if you were to do this you would need do so
  • before adding your layers.

If you need a bit more help then here is the video tutorial!

I hope you have enjoyed this project and find my instructions easy to follow. If you have any questions or any comments do let me know i’m always happy to help.

4 x 4 NOTE CARD GIFT SET USING WOOD TEXTURES AND CAT PUNCH

Saffie was my total inspiration for this project for you today. She’s my adorable Siamese and my crafting companion. Honestly, I just love, love, love this punch. I think the project turned out super cute too. Purrrfect for cat lovers, the design is clean, simple and very contemporary and totally me. The Designer Series Paper wood effect stands out perfectly on the whisper white background.

They were so easy to put together, which is always a bonus in my book.  They look fiddly but honestly they really aren’t. You must give them a go. I’ve also made four envelopes and they fit in-side perfectly with the cards.

I decided to do two video’s for you just to keep them short and to the point. One on how to put the cards together and one to make the gift box.

For each card you will need:-

  • Thick whisper white Cardstock 4 x 8″ scored in half for your card base
  • 4 x cats punched out in thick whisper white, layer two cats together
  • 1 cat punched out in Wood Textures DSP
  • 1 x scallop circle cut out in thick whisper white Cardstock 2 13/16″
  • 1 x circle cut using Wood Textures DSP 2 5/8″
  • Scrap of thick whisper white Cardstock for the sentiment
  • Length of white Bakers twine for the collar and bow.

Gift Box:-

  • 1 whole sheet of A4 thick whisper white Cardstock (UK)
  • On the long side score at 2 5/8″ and 3 5/8″ turn and score the same on the other side
  • On the short side score at 7/8″ and 1 7/8″ turn and score the same on the other side
  • Cut two pieces of DSP measuring 4 3/8″ x 2 1/2″
  • 4 cats punched in thick whisper white Cardstock (exactly the same as the card)
  • 1 cat punched in Wood Textures DSP (exactly the same as the card)

The magnets I used for the closure are from Spider Magnetics Ltd the link is below:-

FRESH FLORALS – PILLOW GIFT CARD BOX

My project for you this week is this pretty little pillow box and matching envelope. Perfect alternative for giving a gift card or money. Great for Birthdays, Christmas or just because you want to give a lovely gift and just by changing the Designer Series Paper perfect for anytime of year.

I was inspired by the new 2017 Autumn / Winter Catalogue and the lovely Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies which also has a pillow box cut out die but I know not everyone has a big shot so I wanted to show you how easy it is to make these just by creating your own template and believe me if can make them anyone can.

They were so quick and easy to make, I decided to make one in each of the new 2017 – 2019 In Colours. Even better you only need a single piece of 6 x 6″ Designer Series Paper to make them.

I used the Merry Little Labels Stamp Set and matching Everyday Label Punch which can be purchased together as a bundle saving you 10%. As you can see this Stamp Set is not just for Christmas.

Score the 6 x 6″ DSP just on one side at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″

The envelope is made with the envelope punch board, you are making the smallest envelope, using just 5 x 5″ DSP and your score line is at 2.

Watch my Youtube demo video to see exactly how this is made.

TRICK OR TREAT HALLOWEEN TREAT BOXES

Is it too soon for Halloween? I didn’t think so! So I wanted to bring you something new and something old. The something new is a brand new stampset and co-ordinating dies I pre-ordered from the new seasonal catalogue, coming to you soon on the 1 September. The something old is the 12 x 12″ Halloween Night Designer Series Paper and Halloween Twine which are both from the clearance rack and as of this morning when I checked are still both available, but only whilst stocks last so get in quick!

Made from a single piece of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, you get 4 boxes from one sheet.  A little really does go a long way. The finished size measures 3″ tall by 1 3/8″ wide you can fit a good few treats inside though I made mine to fit a Kinder Happy Hippo Biscuit perfectly.

How I put it together:- (do take a look at my YouTube video)

  • 6 x 6″ square of Designer Series Paper
  • Scored at 1 3/8″,  2 3/4″,  4/1/8″ and 5 1/2″ (this is the length of your box)
  • Then score the other side at 1″, 4″, 5″ (just to the first three score lines, then move your score tool up to the 5 1/2″ and score the last little bit)
  • Scrap of whisper white cardstock to stamp and cut out the tag.
  • 6″ length of twine which is plenty to tie your bow

GIFT BOX BAG – EASTERN PALACE

I had great fun making this project. All of the colours I have used are so lush and vibrant. We have tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Dapper Denim and all co-ordinate beautifully with the Eastern Palace Speciality Designer Series Paper (DSP). I really wanted to make something simple, quick and easy to make. Stampin’ up products are so lovely to use they take the guess work out of everything. I also used very limited supplies, Teeny Tiny Sentiments and my two favourite punches, daisy and the classic label punch they are all must have’s then just a beautiful embellishment finishes the look.

The finished size measures 5 3/4″ x 5 1/4″.  This is how I put it all together:-

  • DSP – cut 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4 square
  • Very vanilla cardstock – cut 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″
  • Punch 2 x daisy’s
  • Stamp your sentiment and punch out with your classic label punch.
  • Embellish with metal rimmed pearls

1 whole sheet of coloured A4 (8 1/4″ x 11 3/4″) cardstock:-

On the long side score: 5 1/4″ turn and score again at 5 1/4″

On the short side score: 5/8″ and 1 1/4″ turn and score again at 5/8″ and 1 1/4″

If you’d rather see a video of how to make this then here it is!

I have listed below all of the supplies I have used on my project which can be bought from my shop using the link at the top. I welcome your comments and any questions, if I can help with anything do let me know.
